Did you know that Boskoop is very suitable as a baked apple?
Sweet
Sour
The Red Boskoop is a rather old variety that was discovered in the Netherlands around 1860 by pure chance. Red mutants of this variety have been widespread since 1970.
The red Boskoop is a large to very large fruit with a predominantly rounded to light-edged, medium-bellied shape. The skin can present itself in many colors: yellow and on the sunny sides striped from orange to dark red. The skin is rough to the touch and may have slightly rusty patches.
Its tangy, sour, strong, fruity-freshening, spicy and firm flesh is particularly worthy of Mention.
