Did you know that Red Pinova comes from the Institute for Fruit Research in Dresden-Pillnitz? One can tell by the fact that all apple varieties originating from there start with a P like Pillnitz.

The red version is a colored version of the Pinova and a comparatively new variety. At Elbe-Obst it is grown as an organic apple. The juicy and tasty fruit can be stored for a long time. By comparison, it is firmer and tastier than Delicious. The tree is one of the highest-yielding and most reliable.
